Mobile, AL—The Mobile Area Water & Sewer System (MAWSS) has completed a water service line inventory required by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) regulations. Based upon reviews of historical records, conducted field investigations, and the use of statistical methods recognized/approved by the EPA and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, MAWSS has determined that no lead or galvanized requiring replacement (GRR) water service lines are located within its distribution system.
