Russell Lomax

Russell Lomax is the Water & Sewer Operations Manager of the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System, which provides water and wastewater services to more than 100,000 customers across Mobile County.

Rusty began his career with MAWSS in 2017 after spending three decades in the private sector handling engineering, development, and construction projects. His insight into multiple fields gives him a unique perspective when faced with complex issues.

A native of Mobile, he and his wife of 35 years, Dr. Kelly Lomax, have three adult children and a granddaughter. He’s an avid boater, kayaker, and fisherman. Protecting the waters of Mobile is not only his job but his passion.
