Stickney Water Treatment Plant Electrical Upgrades

The E.M. Stickney Water Treatment Plant, initially constructed in 1942 and is Mobile's primary drinking water treatment facility, will be getting a complete overhaul of all electrical systems. This project includes the installation of new generators providing greater electrical capacity and longer operating times when utility power is lost due to storms and other causes.

Cost of Project: $17.3 Million
Estimated Completion Date: February 2024

The new maintenance building is almost complete.


Since the inception of Stickney, there have always been only one Rest Room throughout the whole facility. The second restroom and locker room are now complete.

Moody Electric is making progress on the electrical infrastructure within the Low Head Pump building, focusing on installing cable trays and wiring.
